This virtual session will provide an overview of the Cogito program, including its structure, academic focus, and enrollment process. A live Q&A will follow the presentation. A student orientation will take place in May; more information to come.
Regular Kindergarten Information Session

Join us to learn more about our Regular Kindergarten program, meet staff, and ask questions about curriculum, enrollment, and what to expect for the school year.
New Student Registration
New Student Registration: if your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, registration needs to be completed online. New student registrations for the 2026–27 school year opens in February 2026. Please click HERE for more information about registration.
For the 2025 - 2026 school year, Waverley School is full in planned classes in Grades 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the regular program AND Kindergarten and Grade 1 in the Cogito program. We will no longer accept enrolment requests for Kindergarten and Grade 1 in the Cogito program. For the regular program, we will only accept resident students in Grades 1, 3, 5 and 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enroll in another Division school with space in planned classes.
Kindergarten Registration:
Children who are born between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, are eligible to register for Kindergarten. To register your child for Kindergarten, please click HERE. Please note, you may pre-enroll only at one school.
Current Division Students Pre-Enrollment
Current Student Pre-Enrollment: to ensure placement at your preferred school, please complete your selection on SchoolZone by 4:00 PM on March 25, 2026. Requests received after this date, may limit your options.
Pre-enrol in SchoolZone
Sign in to your parent SchoolZone account between February 2 and March 25 to select your child’s preferred school for next year. Whether your child is staying at the same school or changing schools, all students need to pre-enrol. Knowing how many students to expect helps schools ensure there is enough room and prepare to welcome them in September.
